New Workforce Training Center in Donaldsonville to Support Steel Industry Growth
A groundbreaking event was held for a new workforce training center in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, which aims to support careers in the steel industry. The center, a collaboration between River Parishes Community College (RPCC), Hyundai Steel, and local officials, will offer a two-year program designed to align with the workforce needs of Hyundai Steel's new mill. The facility is expected to open in late 2027 and will provide technical diplomas in fields such as electrical and mechanical maintenance. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance industrial capacity and create over 1,300 jobs in the region.
