Banda El Recodo Responds to Emma Coronel's Claims of Performance at 'El Chapo' Daughters' Baptism
Banda El Recodo, a prominent Mexican musical group, has responded to claims made by Emma Coronel, wife of Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, that the band performed at the baptism of their twin daughters, Emali Guadalupe and María Joaquina, over a decade ago. Coronel revealed this information during a live stream, also mentioning that Los Tucanes de Tijuana were present. Ricky Yocupicio and Geovanni Mondragón, vocalists for Banda El Recodo, stated in an interview that they do not inquire about the identity of those who hire them, focusing solely on their performance. Yocupicio emphasized that the band's policy is to perform for anyone who can afford their services, regardless of their background. The twin daughters were born in 2011 in Lancaster, California, while Guzmán was a fugitive, and were not initially registered under his surname, though recent social media posts by Coronel have suggested a possible legal name change for one of them.
