Tulsa Police Book Suspect After Officer-Involved Shooting Incident
Tulsa police have booked 36-year-old Dion Patterson into the Tulsa County Jail on multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon following an officer-involved shooting incident. The event began on Thursday evening near 51st Street North and Peoria, where officers responded to a disturbance involving a gun at Rozay’s Wingz. According to police, Patterson and another man were fighting in the parking lot when Patterson pulled a gun, shooting the other man in the foot during a struggle. Patterson continued firing as the victim attempted to flee in a truck, which subsequently struck a car carrying a driver and three children, though no one in that vehicle was injured. The suspect then chased the victim back into the restaurant, firing shots and hitting the victim again in the torso. Upon the arrival of officers, Patterson fired twice at two officers, neither of whom were hit.
