Senior New Zealand Government Ministers met with cruise industry representatives in Wellington to discuss strategies for enhancing the country's cruise tourism sector. The forum, led by Tourism and Hospitality Minister Louise Upston, included representatives from major cruise lines and aimed to attract more ships and increase economic opportunities. The discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and industry to create a competitive environment for cruise tourism, which currently contributes NZ$1.23 billion annually to the economy and supports over 8,000 jobs.
