OSHA Investigates Fatal Ohio Industrial Plant Explosion, Citing Past Violations at Brent Industries
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating an explosion at Brent Industries in Toledo, Ohio, that resulted in the deaths of two workers and injured several others. The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. during a shift change, causing significant damage to the industrial recycling building. Fire officials reported that tanks containing mineral spirits, a petroleum solvent used in the company's cleaning process for textiles, were present at the plant.
