Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market Expands Food Access with $20,000 Donation
The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market has partnered with Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union to enhance food access for residents facing food insecurity. The credit union has donated $20,000 to support the market's Donation Station program, which collects and distributes fresh produce to local food pantries. The program, now in its fifth year, connects local farmers, market shoppers, and volunteers to provide high-quality produce to area residents. In 2025, the program distributed over 4,800 pounds of food, and with the new funding, organizers aim to donate 25,000 pounds in 2026.
