Wildfire in Limburg Halts Train Services Amid Dutch Water Shortage
A large wildfire has erupted in the Rosmolen nature reserve in northern Limburg, Netherlands, leading to the suspension of train services between Nijmegen and Venray. The fire, which started at 11:45 am, is burning in the treetops, making it difficult to control. The Limburg-Noord safety region has scaled up its response due to the ongoing drought, deploying numerous crews and vehicles to the scene. The Netherlands is currently experiencing an official water shortage after weeks without significant rainfall, exacerbating the wildfire situation.
