Burbank Police Arrest 17 in 'Summer Blitz' Retail Theft Operation Targeting Nordstrom Rack and Other Retailers
Seventeen individuals were arrested in Burbank, California, as part of a three-day enforcement operation dubbed 'Summer Blitz,' targeting organized retail theft. The operation, which took place from August 11-13, involved the Burbank Police Department, the Los Angeles Organized Retail Crime Association, and the California Highway Patrol Organized Retail Crime Task Force. Undercover officers worked with loss prevention personnel at various retailers in the Empire Center, including Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Walmart, Target, REI, Lowe’s, and Ulta. Those arrested face a range of felony and misdemeanor theft-related charges.
