Speeding BMW Driver Flees Scene After Fatal Bronx Crash, Bicyclist Killed
A speeding driver is currently at large after a violent chain-reaction crash in the Longwood section of the Bronx resulted in the death of a 51-year-old bicyclist, Angelo Camero, and injured another individual. According to police, the driver of a black BMW initially struck two unoccupied vehicles before colliding with a Hyundai Sonata and Camero, who was riding his bicycle home from work. The impact pushed the Hyundai into another vehicle, creating a multi-vehicle wreck with debris scattered across Bruckner Boulevard. Camero, a mechanic and father of five, was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Hyundai Sonata was also hospitalized and is in stable condition. Authorities report that the BMW driver abandoned the vehicle after the crash, entered another car, and fled the area.
