Pentagon Releases First Batch of UFO Files, Unveiling Historical and Modern UAP Records
On May 8, 2026, the U.S. Pentagon released its first batch of files related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs. This release includes 162 records, comprising 120 PDF documents, 28 videos, and 14 images. The documents originate from various agencies, including the Pentagon, FBI, NASA, and the State Department. Notably, the release features historical records from the 1940s to 1960s, such as the famous 'Twining Memo' from 1947, and modern reports from military systems and FBI interviews. The files also include reports from NASA's Apollo moon missions and other space missions. This release is part of a new initiative called PURSUE (Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters), which aims to provide public access to UAP information.
