OneFamily Hosts Memorial for Bereaved Israelis, Fostering Unity and Healing
OneFamily, an organization dedicated to supporting bereaved families in Israel, organized a memorial ceremony in Jerusalem for over 1,000 family members who have lost loved ones to conflict and terrorism. The event, held at the Haas Promenade, provided a space for families to share their grief and memories, emphasizing the theme of 'Option B'—finding strength to continue living while honoring the memory of those lost. The ceremony was co-hosted by Laly Derai and Liat Smadga, both mothers who lost their sons in the same incident in Gaza. The event included personal stories from family members, such as Milly Tsym, who spoke about her son Ariel, and Nadav Elkabetz, who shared the story of his sister Sivan. The gathering aimed to offer solace and a sense of community to those affected by recent and past tragedies.
