Indiana Department of Natural Resources Hosts Workshops for Statewide Water Plan Feedback
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is organizing a series of workshops across the state to gather public input on a new statewide water inventory and management plan. This initiative, directed by an executive order from Governor Mike Braun, aims to ensure the sustainable management of Indiana's water resources. The workshops will focus on developing a regional water planning framework, enhancing water monitoring networks, and creating an online water data and management platform. These efforts build on previous regional water studies conducted by the Indiana Finance Authority and various local and regional partners. The workshops are scheduled to take place in several locations, including Indianapolis, Madison, Washington, Fort Wayne, West Lafayette, and Knox, with an additional virtual session planned for May.
