U.S. Military Establishes 'Red, White, and Blue Dome' Over Strait of Hormuz Amid Iran Tensions
The United States has implemented a new defensive measure, termed the 'red, white, and blue dome,' over the Strait of Hormuz in response to recent Iranian attacks. This initiative, announced by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, aims to protect commercial vessels navigating this critical waterway. Despite Iran's aggressive actions, including attempts to breach the U.S. blockade, the U.S. military maintains that these incidents have not escalated to a full-scale war. Operation Project Freedom, as it is called, is a temporary mission distinct from other operations like Economic Fury and Epic Fury. The U.S. forces are providing continuous surveillance to ensure the safety of non-Iranian commercial ships. President Trump has also called on South Korea to support this effort following an attack on a Korean cargo ship.
