NYPD Investigates Failed Luxury Auto Theft in Manhattan, Culprits at Large
A group of thieves attempted to steal multiple luxury vehicles from a garage in a Hell's Kitchen apartment building in Manhattan early Sunday morning. According to the New York Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 6:00 A.M. on West 43rd Street near 11th Avenue. The thieves managed to drive away with a blue McLaren but crashed it less than a block away at West 42nd and 11th, outside a FedEx Ship Center. The vehicle was found with its airbags deployed, and a second vehicle, an SUV, was also damaged with a smashed windshield. The owner of the McLaren, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed disbelief upon discovering his car had been involved in the incident. The police have recovered all targeted vehicles, and no injuries have been reported. However, the suspects remain at large, and no detailed descriptions have been released.
