Idaho State University Director Alleges Age and Religious Discrimination in Job Termination
George Casper, the former events director at Idaho State University, claims that his dismissal was due to age and religious discrimination rather than the budget cuts cited by the university. Casper, who had been with the university for three decades, filed a tort claim through his attorney, suggesting that favoritism and shared religious affiliations among university leadership played a role in his termination. The claim challenges the university's restructuring process, which resulted in 44 job cuts, including Casper's $181,727-a-year position. The university has not commented on the claim due to pending litigation, but previously cited financial pressures as the reason for the job cuts.
