Winston-Salem Family Seeks Answers in Disappearance of Marcus Nathan Simpson
The family of Marcus Nathan Simpson, 55, of Winston-Salem, is actively searching for answers three weeks after he was reported missing on September 5. His family last heard from him on August 26. Simpson's niece, Imani Stover, who considers him a bonus dad and sole guardian after the deaths of her mother and grandmother, described his absence as deeply difficult. Winston-Salem police were asked to check on Simpson on September 3, where they found signs of a struggle in his kitchen, raising concerns for his well-being. His 1998 silver Porsche Boxster was also missing. Assistant Chief Katie Allen stated that the vehicle was last seen entering Winston Lake around 4 AM on August 27, though it is unknown if Simpson was driving or present in the car.
