Fire Departments Respond to Blaze at Tobacco Farm Owned by Local Firefighters in Nashville, Georgia
A fire broke out at Vickers Farms, a tobacco farm owned by local firefighters in Nashville, Georgia. The Berrien County Fire Department reported that several fire departments, including those from Nashville, Ray City, East Berrien, and Atkinson County, responded to the blaze late Sunday night. The farm, owned by Carlos, Lamar, and Bradley Vickers, suffered the loss of a barn and part of their tobacco crop. Carlos Vickers is the current East Berrien District Chief, Bradley Vickers is a firefighter, and Lamar Vickers is a former firefighter. The fire was contained to one barn, and no injuries were reported.
