Czech President Criticizes President Trump's Approach to European Allies Amid Iran Conflict
Czech President Petr Pavel has publicly criticized President Trump's handling of European relations in the context of the ongoing military operations against Iran. The U.S. and Israel initiated these operations in February, and a temporary ceasefire is currently in place as negotiations over a new nuclear deal and control of the Strait of Hormuz continue. President Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with NATO allies, threatening to withdraw U.S. troops from Germany, Italy, and Spain due to their leaders' criticism of his military strategy. Pavel emphasized that European countries were not involved from the start, which has affected their willingness to participate. He urged for fair treatment and equal dialogue among allies.
