IEN-WMAN Mining Mini-Grant Program Opens Applications for U.S. and Canadian Communities Affected by Mining
The IEN-WMAN Mining Mini-Grant Program is now accepting applications, offering financial support to communities in the United States and Canada that are threatened or adversely affected by mining activities. This collaborative initiative, spearheaded by the Western Mining Action Network (WMAN) and the Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN), focuses strongly on assisting Indigenous communities and grassroots organizations working to address mining-related impacts. Each successful applicant can receive a $4,000 USD grant, with over $200,000 distributed annually through the program. A significant commitment of the program is to allocate at least half of its funding to Indigenous-led organizations.
