Governor Hochul Criticizes President Trump Over Removal of Soldier's Name from Pentagon List

Rampersad, a Queens native, was killed in an Iranian missile strike in Jordan. Her name, along with three others, was removed from the list due to a reported technical issue. Hochul has called for a full investigation and demanded the immediate restoration of the names. The Pentagon attributed the removal to a data disruption, while the New York Times reported that the Trump Administration removed the names because the deaths occurred after a ceasefire. The Pentagon has denied these reports, labeling them as misinformation.
