Rochester Man Charged with First-Degree Robbery Following Bank Heist
Naquan White, a 30-year-old resident of Rochester, has been charged with first-degree robbery in connection with an armed robbery at Five Star Bank located in downtown Rochester. The incident occurred on a Tuesday afternoon when an armed suspect entered the bank, threatened a teller, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Although the suspect claimed to have a gun, no weapon was displayed during the robbery. The police were alerted by a hold-up alarm triggered at 1:30 p.m. Following the robbery, investigators identified a vehicle linked to the crime and attempted to stop it near Avenue D and Joseph Avenue. The driver, identified as White, attempted to evade the police but crashed into a curb and fled on foot. He was apprehended shortly thereafter. Evidence related to the robbery was found at White's residence after a search warrant was executed. White, who was recently released from federal prison and is currently on probation for a federal weapons conviction, faces additional charges.
