Advocate Health Reports Significant Revenue Growth and Job Creation Following Merger
Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the U.S., reported a substantial increase in revenue for 2025, reaching over $38.9 billion, marking a nearly 12% rise from the previous year. This growth is largely attributed to the 2022 merger that resulted in $1.5 billion in annual operating savings and the creation of 23,000 jobs. The system operates 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care sites across six states, employing approximately 167,000 people. Advocate Health's operating margin improved to 4%, with a bottom line of $4.6 billion, up from $2.9 billion in 2024. The system saw increases in patient numbers, surgeries, and emergency department visits, alongside a shift towards a higher share of Medicaid patients.
