Academy for Sciences and Agriculture to Close Due to Financial Unsustainability
The Academy for Sciences and Agriculture, located in Vadnais Heights and Little Canada, Minnesota, is set to close following this year's graduation ceremony in June. The decision comes as the school faces financial unsustainability, according to Executive Director Sam Wakefield. The charter school, which opened in 2001 and served over 470 students, will dissolve as its contract with Osprey Wilds, a nonprofit charter school authorizer, is terminated. The school has announced a farewell event scheduled for June 6 at the high school.
