Super Bowl LX's Super Schools Initiative Benefits Bay Area Students
GENYOUth, in collaboration with the Oakland Unified School District and other partners, has completed the Super Schools initiative, benefiting over 33,000 students in the Bay Area. This program, aligned with Super Bowl LX, provided nutrition equipment grants and NFL FLAG-In-School kits to 60 schools, increasing access to 9 million school meals annually and expanding physical activity opportunities. The initiative involved various corporate sponsors, including Amazon Access and the PepsiCo Foundation, and aimed to address student hunger and promote physical activity. The program's completion was celebrated with an event at Grass Valley Elementary School, featuring interactive activities and a flag football clinic.
