Waukesha Man Charged with Six Felonies Following Meijer Hostage Situation and Police Shooting
Anthony J. Lehman, 21, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, has been charged with six felony counts, including first-degree reckless injury, false imprisonment, three counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, and making terrorist threats. These charges stem from a July 30 hostage situation at a Meijer store located at 801 E. Sunset Drive. According to the criminal complaint, Lehman called 911 from inside the store, claiming to be armed with a knife and holding a hostage in the men's restroom, demanding to speak with a negotiator. Investigators detailed that Lehman ordered the 59-year-old man to sit down and threatened him with a knife and a 'dead man switch'—a spring clamp tool with two razor blades attached.
