Maharashtra Government Signs Letter of Intent with AirTrunk for Major Data Centre Deal
The Government of Maharashtra has signed a letter of intent with AirTrunk, a hyperscale data centre specialist, for a potential data centre project valued at approximately 2 trillion rupees (US$21 billion). This agreement involves the allocation of land at the Raigad Pen Growth Centre for the development of a data centre with a capacity of 3 GW. AirTrunk, which entered the Indian market by acquiring Lumina CloudInfra, is expanding its operations in India with data centres in Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The company is also active in other regions, including Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.
