GSA Promotes Tech Efficiency to Federal Agencies with New Playbook
The General Services Administration (GSA) is set to share its successful internal technology initiatives with a broader government audience. As part of its 2026 goal to save and automate 1 million hours of employee work, the GSA will host the Emerging Technology Showcase on July 30. This event, open to all federal employees, will be held at the Interior Department’s Yates Auditorium and livestreamed for a virtual audience. GSA Deputy Administrator Mike Lynch highlighted the agency's role in leading efforts to enhance government efficiency and responsiveness. The showcase will feature the Elimination, Optimization, and Automation playbook, a guide released in June that outlines strategies to streamline and automate work processes. This playbook is based on lessons from federal pilots and GSA's internal programs. The agency has already identified 850,000 hours of work savings, driven by technology adoption.
