South Korean Authorities Conduct Large-Scale Search for Escaped Wolf from Daejeon Zoo
A wolf has escaped from the O-World theme park zoo in Daejeon, South Korea, prompting a significant search operation involving over 300 personnel, including firefighters, police, and military members. The male wolf, born in 2024, managed to escape by digging through the soil at the bottom of its enclosure. The incident has led to the closure of a nearby school for safety reasons. Despite the deployment of drones to aid in the search, adverse weather conditions have hampered efforts. This escape is reminiscent of a similar incident in 2023 when a zebra escaped from a zoo in Seoul.
