Wildberries Seeks Warehouse Space in Kazakhstan Amid Ukrainian Drone Strikes
Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, is actively seeking warehouse space in Kazakhstan following a series of Ukrainian drone strikes on its facilities. The company is also in discussions with the Russian government for potential financial support, with state-controlled lender VTB expected to play a central role. The drone attacks have damaged several Wildberries warehouses, disrupting operations and affecting tens of thousands of merchants who sell through the platform. In response, Wildberries has announced a relief package for affected merchants, including reduced storage fees and promotional discounts. The company is continuing with the construction of logistics facilities in countries where it operates, including large logistics centers in Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan.
