Suspected Drunk Driver Kills Two Pedestrians in North Hollywood
In North Hollywood, Los Angeles, a tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning, April 12, 2026, when a suspected drunk driver struck and killed two pedestrians. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the crash happened around 2:25 a.m. on Colfax Avenue. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Vidal C. from Pacoima, was driving a gray Acura northbound when he hit two individuals who had just exited a parked Toyota Camry. The male victim, in his 30s, died at the scene, while the female victim, in her 50s, succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. The driver continued after the initial collision, hitting the parked Camry and crashing into several unoccupied vehicles and a home. Three people inside the Camry sustained minor injuries. The suspect was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, with bail set at $4 million. The investigation is ongoing.
