U.S. Justice Department Enlists Former Trump Lawyer in CIA Director Brennan Investigation
The U.S. Department of Justice has appointed Joseph diGenova, a former attorney for President Trump, to assist in the investigation of former CIA Director John Brennan. This move, reported by CNN, comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Brennan, who has been a vocal critic of President Trump. DiGenova, who previously served as a U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and was part of Trump's legal team during the Mueller investigation, will be working on the case in the Southern District of Florida. The investigation has faced internal frustrations over its pace, with some witness interviews not expected until June. The appointment follows the departure of Maria Medetis Long, a top prosecutor in Miami, from the case.
