Research Identifies Prognostic Genes in Breast Cancer for Improved Treatment Options
A recent study published in Frontiers in Genetics has identified key prognostic genes related to neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and inflammation in breast cancer. The research, conducted by a team from Nanchang People's Hospital in China, focused on understanding the interaction between NET-driven necrosis-related genes (NRGs) and inflammation-related genes (IRGs) in breast cancer. The study identified several prognostic genes, including ZMYND10, IL12B, CXCL13, TFF1, LTB, and SPIB, which are associated with differential immune cells. The research also developed a risk model and nomogram for breast cancer prognosis using bioinformatics methods, which could aid in improving clinical outcomes and treatment strategies.
