South Carolina Faces Heat and Scattered Storms This Week
South Carolina is set to experience a mix of weather conditions this week as a cold front approaches the state. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected across the Upstate on Tuesday morning, with partly sunny skies developing by the afternoon. The northern Midlands and Pee Dee regions may also see isolated thunderstorms later in the day. By Wednesday, a trough could bring a line of showers and thunderstorms to the Midlands, though coastal areas are likely to remain stable. Thursday will see another chance of scattered showers, particularly in the Midlands and Lowcountry. The primary concern for the latter half of the week will be rising temperatures, with highs reaching the lower to mid-90s in the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Lowcountry, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Upstate. Winds will predominantly come from the south, with coastal areas experiencing south-southeasterly breezes.
