Tel Aviv Peace Summit Advocates Diplomacy Over Military Action Amidst Ongoing Conflicts
The It's Time coalition, established after the October 7 terror attacks, recently hosted a peace summit in Tel Aviv, drawing over 5,000 attendees. The event, titled 'It Must Be. It Can Be. It Will Be. Peace,' emphasized the importance of diplomacy over military action in resolving conflicts involving Israel. The coalition, which has grown from 50 to over 80 organizations, includes Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel and international partners. The summit aimed to engage young Diaspora Jews who feel disconnected from Israel, highlighting the need for peace and shared-society initiatives. Key speakers included Thair Abu Ras, who lost family members in Gaza, and Mai Peri, whose grandfather was killed in Hamas captivity. The event also featured an installation displaying the names of children killed in the conflict.
