India and Fiji Strengthen Cooperation in Sustainable Urban Development and Agriculture
India and Fiji have engaged in discussions to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including affordable social housing, sustainable urban development, and agriculture. The talks were held between India's High Commissioner to Fiji, Suneet Mehta, and Fiji's Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa. The discussions aimed at exploring opportunities to deepen the India-Fiji development partnership. Additionally, High Commissioner Mehta met with Fiji's Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Charan Jeath Singh, to discuss collaboration with Fiji Coconut Millers in coconut and coir development. These meetings are part of a broader effort to strengthen bilateral relations, which also included educational and cultural outreach activities, such as distributing books to schools in Fiji.
