Heat Advisory Issued for Metro Atlanta Amid Scorching Temperatures
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of Middle and North Georgia, including metro Atlanta, effective Friday, August 14, 2026, from noon to 8 p.m. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s °F (mid-30s °C), with heat index values climbing as high as 109 °F (43 °C).
