Arson Suspect Arrested Amidst Spokane Wildfires
Aaron Farinacci, a 37-year-old convicted felon, has been arrested and charged with first-degree arson in connection with the Old Trails Fire, one of the wildfires currently affecting Spokane, Washington. The fire has displaced 65,000 people, destroyed 700 buildings, and burned 10,000 acres. Farinacci was identified by a witness and arrested after being found with items suggesting he started the fire. The wildfires, fueled by high winds and dry conditions, have led to evacuations and the use of the Spokane Convention Center as a shelter. No deaths or injuries have been reported.
