Oman's Hydrom Joins Global Hydrogen Council to Advance Green Hydrogen Industry
Hydrogen Oman (Hydrom), the central master-planner of Oman’s green hydrogen industry, has become a member of the Hydrogen Council, a CEO-led global initiative. This move, announced on September 29, integrates Oman more closely with international efforts to establish commercially viable hydrogen markets, trade corridors, and common industry standards. Hydrom is the first member from Oman to join the Brussels-based Council, which now extends its footprint to nearly 30 countries and includes approximately 140 companies involved in hydrogen production, infrastructure, transport, and consumption. This membership signifies a strategic shift for Oman, moving its green hydrogen strategy from allocating large development blocks to focusing on implementation, infrastructure, industrial integration, and securing markets for future production.
