Former Senator Steven Bradford Challenges Ridley-Thomas Bribery Conviction, Citing Conflict with California Law
Former Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, whose bribery conviction was affirmed by a three-judge panel, is seeking an en banc rehearing by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Former state Senator Steven Bradford has filed an amicus brief in support of Ridley-Thomas, arguing that the conduct for which Ridley-Thomas was convicted is permissible under California state law.
