Indonesian Immigration Enforces Visa Regulations, Deports Tourists for Violations
Three tourists in Bali, Indonesia, have been deported for violating their visa conditions. The individuals, from India, Singapore, and China, were found engaging in work activities, which is prohibited under their tourist visas. The Indian and Singaporean nationals were conducting yoga classes, while the Chinese national was involved in installing machinery and training employees at a factory. These actions contravened the terms of their Visas on Arrival and Visit Visa-Free permits. Indonesian authorities, led by Anak Agung Gde Kusuma Putra of the Singaraja Immigration Office, emphasized that such permits are strictly for tourism and not for work or commercial activities. The deportations serve as a warning to tourists, particularly Australians, who frequently visit Bali, to adhere to visa regulations.
