California Launches Online Tool to Support College-Going Parents with Resource Access
A new online tool, the California Student Parent Resource Hub, has been launched to assist college-going parents in California by providing comprehensive information on available resources at various campuses. This tool allows student parents to compare resources such as on-campus childcare, family-friendly study spaces, food pantries, and academic support across different colleges and universities. Developed by the California Alliance for Student Parent Success, the tool aims to alleviate the challenges faced by student parents, such as lack of access to stable housing and basic needs. The initiative is led by California Competes: Higher Education for a Stronger Economy and EdTrust-West, with the goal of increasing transparency and accessibility of resources for student parents.
