Private Jet Crash in Dominican Republic Claims Lives of Pilot and Co-Pilot En Route to Pick Up Yadier Molina
A private jet intended to transport former MLB star Yadier Molina to Puerto Rico crashed shortly after takeoff in the Dominican Republic, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and co-pilot. The aircraft, a Gulfstream G200 Galaxy, was on its way to Texas to pick up Molina and his family when the accident occurred in La Romana. The crash was captured on video, showing the jet attempting an emergency return to the airport due to complications on board. Upon impact, the plane was engulfed in flames, and despite emergency responders' efforts, the pilot and co-pilot did not survive. Molina, a Hall of Famer for the St. Louis Cardinals, expressed his grief over the incident on social media. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
