InterContinental Halong Bay Resort Appoints Grant Thompson as General Manager to Enhance Luxury Experience
InterContinental Halong Bay Resort has appointed Grant Thompson as its new General Manager. The resort, which opened in July 2025, is the only internationally branded luxury resort overlooking Halong Bay. Thompson, a hospitality expert with over 35 years of experience, has previously held managerial roles with luxury brands such as Sofitel and Wanda Hotels & Resorts. His leadership style is characterized by clarity, operational strength, and a commitment to creating memorable moments. At InterContinental Halong Bay, Thompson aims to enhance the guest journey from pre-arrival to post-departure, aligning with InterContinental's brand standards. The resort features 275 rooms, suites, and villas, along with various amenities including a spa, fitness center, and multiple dining options.
