Mandarin Oriental Reopens in Manila, Enhancing Filipino Luxury and Cultural Landscape
The Mandarin Oriental has announced its return to Manila with the opening of the Mandarin Oriental Makati, Manila. This new establishment is a reimagined version of the original hotel that operated from 1976 to 2014 and was a significant cultural and social hub in the city. The new hotel is located in the heart of Makati, a cosmopolitan financial and lifestyle district, and is developed in partnership with Ayala Land. It features 275 rooms and suites, a spa and wellness floor, and five dining and bar concepts. The hotel aims to blend contemporary luxury with traditional Filipino craftsmanship, offering a modern expression of Filipino luxury. The dining options reflect Manila's evolving culinary landscape, featuring a mix of contemporary Cantonese, Filipino, and international cuisine. The wellness offerings are inspired by Filipino healing traditions, providing a serene refuge with a 25-meter outdoor swimming pool and signature therapies.
