Mossad's 14-Year Project Wins Prize for Expanding Operational Capabilities
The Mossad, Israel's national intelligence agency, has been awarded a prize for a classified operational system that significantly enhances its collection and operational capabilities. This project, which began in 2012 under then-Mossad chief Tamir Pardo, took 14 years to develop and was completed with contributions from subsequent chiefs Yossi Cohen and David Barnea. The award was presented by President Isaac Herzog and recognized the collaboration between the Mossad, Israel Aerospace Industries, and the Israeli Air Force. The project is noted for its technological innovation and operational boldness, allowing the Mossad to conduct multiple operations simultaneously, a significant shift from its previous capacity.
