Deadly Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested in Aurora After Bicyclist's Death
Jamie Gardner, 53, has been arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of bicyclist Arthur Williams in Aurora, Colorado, last month. Gardner turned himself in to authorities on probable cause of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and has since been released after posting a $50,000 bond. The incident occurred just after midnight on July 27, when Gardner allegedly struck Williams, who was riding southbound on South Powhaton Road, and then fled the scene. Williams, 26, was not discovered until approximately 9:30 a.m. by a good Samaritan, and first responders confirmed his death at the scene.
