Initially, Darline Graham was expected to act as a caretaker without ambitions for a full-term Senate position. However, following encouragement from President Trump, she announced her candidacy for the upcoming special primary. Darline Graham, who has a background in rehabilitation counseling and state agency leadership, is relatively unknown in terms of her political positions. Her entry into the race adds complexity to the special primary, which includes other candidates like Reps. Ralph Norman and Russell Fry.
