Woman Arrested for Arson After Setting Fires in Downtown Prince George
A woman has been arrested by the Prince George RCMP after allegedly setting multiple fires in the downtown area. The incidents occurred early Friday morning, with reports indicating that the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jessie Lynn Giroux, ignited fires along Victoria Street. Police responded quickly, and after a brief foot chase, Giroux was apprehended. The fires were extinguished by officers and fire rescue services. Giroux, who is known to police, faces charges of arson, causing damage to property, and obstructing a police officer. She remains in custody pending her next court appearance.
