1,900 Acres Near Felton, Minnesota, Designated for Prairie Restoration
A significant land acquisition near Felton, Minnesota, has been completed by The Nature Conservancy and Pheasants Forever, in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. The 1,900-acre tract, previously marginal farmland, will be transformed into a prairie and grasslands habitat. This acquisition connects to existing protected lands, creating a seven-mile habitat corridor. The project aims to restore native prairie ecosystems, which are rare in Minnesota, and provide habitat for wildlife and pollinators.
