U.S. Department of Energy Offers Scholarships for Environmental Management STEM Students
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) is offering the Success Through Academic Research Scholarship (STARS) program for undergraduate students. This program aims to provide financial support and hands-on experience to students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields that align with EM's research and operational needs. Key areas of focus include Soil & Groundwater, Deactivation & Decommissioning, Tank Waste, Robotics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Advanced Manufacturing. Participants in the STARS program will receive financial aid for up to two years for their undergraduate degree, with an option for two additional years if they pursue a master's degree. The scholarship includes tuition support, a stipend, an education allowance, and a stipend for summer internships.
